Business Office Services Coordinator BayMark Health Services
is looking for a
Business Office Services Coordinator
to be responsible for the audit of patient accounts based on departmental protocol, policies and procedures, and compliance with regulatory agencies for the OBOT and Residential Treatment Center entities. They will ensure all internal policies and processes are being followed at the clinic. Additionally, they will ensure clinics are using
standardized forms. Finally, they will provide hands on training at each clinic to include scheduling, admissions, authorizations, referrals, entering data into the system, changing payer
Essential Job Functions Identifies
trends that may result in insurance claim rejections/denials and remedy expediently. Audits Daily Reconciliation Reporting, Deposits and record keeping monthly. Performs those duties necessary to ensure all accounts are processed accurately and efficiently. Oversees
the adjustment/discharge balance process for all clinics. Monitors adjustment
request
, justifications and identify billing trends. Monitors self-pay patient account, balances and billing. Serves as a liaison for the RDO/RVP and NSC. Addresses special financial circumstances related to billing, self-pay discounts, discretionary discounts, and creative financial problem solving. Provides exceptional customer service for internal contacts such as but not limited to staff, physicians, and management throughout the organization. Delivers superb customer services for external contacts include but not limited to patients, families, insurance companies, governmental agencies, collection agencies, and other third parties. Provides training and compliance review to multiple medical clinics located throughout the country. Compiles financial statistics for budgetary and reporting purposes weekly. Maintains a regular and present in office schedule adhering to company
polices at all times
. Monitors collection actions and assist fiscal clerks in establishing payment arrangements accurately and in accordance with FA107. Attends all weekly PD calls for Maryland (TBD). Attends all weekly system calls, VO Calls, and monthly billing calls (TBD). Attends monthly Clerk Conference Calls (Mandatory). Attends Weekly Calls with the Manager of Business Office Services (Mandatory). Assists in facilitating annual onsite refresher training (Mandatory). Assists with departmental coverage as requested (Optional). Other duties, as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Minimum three years’ experience working in patient financial services, clinical service access, physician office or billing and collections. Or,
an
Associate's
degree in a healthcare related field and a minimum two years of experience working in healthcare. Previous experience with Revenue Cycle Management Systems/Practice Management Systems. Excellent computer skills including Excel. Behavioral health or substance abuse experience helpful. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices. Ability to
handles
and maintain composure in stressful situations. Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers. Exercise good judgment and
decision making
skills. Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset. Accuracy and attention to detail and follow-through. Demonstrates discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information. Strong time management skills. Satisfactory criminal background check. Satisfactory drug screen.
