This role requires independent decision-making, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting departmental operations and communications.### **Key Responsibilities*** Manage the Chair’s appointment calendar and coordinate daily activities.* Prepare agendas, schedule meetings, and support departmental communications.* Draft and respond to correspondence on behalf of the Chair.* Arrange and process travel requests, reimbursements, and PCard expense reports using Workday.* Coordinate travel and lodging for guests and visitors.* Maintain office supplies and oversee general administrative needs.* Organize and manage faculty promotion and tenure documentation and activities.* Assist with faculty and staff recruitment, including interview coordination.* Maintain faculty CVs and prepare administrative reports (e.g., program reviews, accreditation self-studies, strategic plans).* Support the development and maintenance of departmental documents such as the Pattern of Administration and Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure guidelines.* Manage faculty and staff performance evaluations and related documentation.* Collaborate effectively with team members and perform additional duties as assigned.### **Minimum Qualifications*** High School diploma or GED.* Certification or vocational training may be required.* Minimum of 4 years of relevant administrative experience.* Associate degree in a relevant field preferred.* Experience with Workday or similar systems preferred.### **Preferred Qualifications*** 6 or more years of administrative experience in a higher education or research environment.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative tools.* Familiarity with university policies and procedures.## Additional Information:*This job profile is a Administrative Assistant 4 (T4 level) position on the career roadmap.* *The pay range for this position is $24.76-$32.33/hr.**The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications*## Location:Agricultural Engineering Building (0298)## Position Type:Regular## Scheduled Hours:40## **Shift:**First Shift***Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
