QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree or equivalent certification
Two years' experience in logistics may be substituted in lieu of degree
Must be able to carry out duties without close supervision
Familiarity with inventory control practices and logistics.
Experience working with agencies that serve vulnerable populations preferred.
Bilingual (English - Spanish) preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent detail, organization, and file management skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the programs within that suite
Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of volunteers, staff and community partners
Must possess a valid Food Handler Safety Training card.
Must be willing to take and pass an OSHA forklift certification, and have experience driving a diesel truck
Must possess a valid Nevada driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record check
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that all safety and emergency policies are followed according to Salvation Army guidelines
Establish and maintain contracts with existing and new food vendors
Organize and store items properly in the warehouse using the First In First Out (FIFO) method
Conduct inventory and make recommendations on which items to order and restock
Assist the Food Services Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day administration of all grants.
Assist with the assurance of grant reporting compliance.
Maintain client databases and referrals for services and generate reports.
Maintain client databases and referrals for services and generate reports.
Complete accurate and timely data entry into the Bridges & HMIS system
Create and/or maintain spreadsheets for tracking grant spending, outcomes, and statistics
Ensure that all shipments received are properly sorted, labeled, and stored
Maintain proper food handling procedures (per health code standards)
Implement proper OSHA warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient and clean warehouse
Coordinate food pantry preparation, distribution and clean up
Assist with deliveries as required
Run monthly reports for Divisional Headquarters and Three Square
Assist with seasonal activities such as Kettles, back pack drives, and Angel Tree as necessary
Attend all staff meetings
Other duties as assigned
