Lube Technician - Heart of Florida Landfill
Lake Panasoffkee, FL (Sumter County) Starting at $21/hr and up, based on experience Position Overview Heart of Florida Landfill, a Waste Connections site, is seeking a Lube Technician to perform preventative maintenance on our fleet of garbage trucks and heavy equipment. If you have 1+ years of experience working on heavy diesel trucks or have completed a Diesel Technology program , we encourage you to apply. Schedule Monday through Friday 40 to 50 hours per week Some Saturday work may be required Key Responsibilities Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment Perform maintenance-related tasks as needed Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company standards Follow all established safety procedures Communicate clearly about needed repairs or tasks Qualifications 1+ years of experience in heavy truck/equipment maintenance and repair, or completion of a diesel tech program Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment Ability to read and understand service and technical documentation What We Offer Competitive pay starting at $21/hr and up, based on experience Excellent benefits: medical, dental, vision, FSA, long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k) Year-round job stability in a recession-resistant industry Opportunities for growth and advancement Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply Apply today and connect with your future at Waste Connections.
