Therefore, it is our goal to hire a diverse workforce and cultivate a culture where our employees feel accepted and included, hold a valued place within our organization and are equally able to contribute to their fullest extent, assisting in fulfilling our mission of building a stronger community.OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE:Under the direction of the Medical Director, the Nurse Manager organizes, plans, and supervises the medical component for assigned programs and individuals, satisfying State regulations which ensure the general health and well-being of agency clients.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversight of nursing team and ensure excellent quality of nursing services.Direct supervision of nursing staff (RN/LPN): provide and document weekly supervision, approve time cards, engage in performance management, evaluate performance, assign duties as necessary to ensure timely high quality services are provided where needed.Responsible to ensure all duties and responsibilities of the nursing team are completed in accordance with standards of nursing practice; that staff maintain ethical and professional standards of conduct.Delegate medication administration; oversee, observe and monitor adherence to medication administration standards of care.Teach direct support staff, family, and other caregivers as needed.Represent UCS at statewide Nursing meetings.Provide joint RN medical oversight of agency group homes, including in-person assessments, scheduled visits, direct care and/or teaching of procedures.Provide joint RN administrative oversight to ensure all residential programs are following regulations from governing bodies.Participate in Agency committees as appropriate.Oversee and participate in Employee Health Office.Ensures monitoring office medical supplies and medication samples.Provide limited medical advice to UCS employees and consumers.Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing programPIa325c95f4adc-35196-38289570
