QUALIFICATIONS
Administrative or Logistical Management Experience
Must be flexible and able to work in a highly fluid and stressful environment.
Excellent knowledge of and ability to use current Microsoft software computer programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, as well as e-mail, Adobe Acrobat, and the internet
Ability to learn and utilize The Salvation Army Kettle Management Software Program
Excellent interpersonal, telephone, and communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent detail, organization, and file management skills
Ability to work in a team setting with other professionals
Ability to maintain a self-motivated and self-directed schedule, address multiple projects promptly and take projects from beginning through completion
Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances
Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record check
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review daily reports, making appropriate management decisions based on data collected for Red Kettle Fundraiser.
Collaborate with Corps Officers to provide regular reporting on campaign outcomes, including successes and challenges
Identify new and existing kettle sites, ensuring all the correct paperwork is secured, including property manager approvals and insurance certificates.
Meet and communicate with store managers as issues are presented, ensuring we maintain positive relationships
Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to secure service clubs and corporations to volunteer at or sponsor kettles.
Assist in meeting with store managers, working out details for scheduling, special needs, stand storage, etc.
Assemble and set up kettle stands and buckets before the start of the season, ensuring they are in good working order
Assist with Kettle Hiring Fairs, participate in meetings, set up interviews, make hiring recommendations, give presentations, and onboard with HR
Handle kettle workers and communicate schedules to employees, ensuring proper coverage is maintained at all sites
Responsible for the distribution of bells and aprons
Handle multiple routes daily, pickup/drop off kettle buckets
Participate in training and scheduling of bell ringers and drivers
Assist with counting money collected in buckets as needed, following TSA policies
Cover bell ringing shifts, greeting the public in a friendly manner in the absence of a staff member
Collect and verify time sheets
Process employee time sheets, ensuring completeness, data entry, and signatures obtained
Distribute paychecks when received
Responsible for the collection of kettles buckets from the stores at the end of each shift
Ensure the return of all Salvation Army-owned property from various locations at the end of the season, including stands, buckets, employee bells, and aprons
Other duties, as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
