At our Brooklyn practice, you’ll be part of a dynamic and compassionate dental team, working alongside dentists, dental assistants, and support staff in a state-of-the-art, patient-centered environment.Position OverviewAs a Dental Hygienist, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive dental care under the direct supervision of a licensed Dentist—as per New York State guidelines. You’ll be a valued clinical professional and a trusted educator to our patients, helping them achieve and maintain optimal oral health.What You’ll DoClinical Responsibilities:Conduct thorough reviews of medical/dental histories, including medications, allergies, and periodontal statusTake and process digital dental radiographs (X-rays)Prepare patients for treatment with professionalism and carePerform oral cancer screenings and full periodontal assessments using both manual and visual techniquesApply fluoride and other preventive agents to arrest decayProvide occlusal sealants and complete routine prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and polishingDocument all findings and treatments in the patient’s electronic dental chartAssist in the diagnosis and detection of oral conditions such as caries, periodontal disease, and TMJ disordersPatient Education & Care:Deliver individualized oral hygiene instructionSupport patients in developing personalized oral health goals (brushing, flossing, nutrition)Promote long-term dental health through education and compassionate communicationInfection Control & Safety:Follow rigorous infection control protocolsEnsure sterilization and proper storage of instrumentsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environmentWhat We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene programNYS Dental Hygienist LicenseMinimum of 2 years’ experience preferredBCLS CertificationCompleted NYS Infection Control TrainingPreferred Skills:Proficient with electronic dental records and digital imagingBilingual in English and Spanish or French a plusExceptional communication, attention to detail, and a passion for patient careStrong team player with a professional and warm demeanorWhy Join Us?Impactful Work: Help patients achieve better health and confidence through quality dental careSupportive Team Culture: Work with professionals who are passionate about what they doModern Technology: Utilize advanced dental equipment and electronic recordsProfessional Growth: Ongoing opportunities for continuing education and developmentApply TodayIf you’re ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and grow with a team that values compassion, collaboration, and excellence, we would love to hear from you.
