This includes unloading trucks of raw materials, following recipes to mix desired components, packaging the product in drum/pail/tote, loading the product on to trucks, troubleshooting/repair of equipment and maintaining facility sanitation. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Unload raw material trucks using pumps and hosesUnload packaging material trucks using forkliftsFollow the facility environmental, health and safety program guidelinesSupport the Maintenance Manager with equipment troubleshooting and repairFollow written procedures and recipes to mix product componentsPackage the finished product in drums/totes/pailsSupport facility sanitation program to ensure site is perpetually audit ready.Ensure finished product is packaged properly and leaves the site in phenomenal conditionLoad the finished product using a forkliftConduct in-process lab testingComplete batch paperwork and truck bills-of-ladingThis position is responsible for producing, packaging, and shipping on time deliveries to our customers. Adhering to GMPs, food grade standards, and maintaining a high level of safety, quality, and customer service. The duties include blending, sampling, documentation, and packaging of products in totes, drums, and pails. Loading and unloading of bulk tanker trailers. Operating a forklift to store finished goods, receive supplies, and load tractor trailers or containers.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:Three years in a production environment preferably in the food industry.Builds collaborative relationships with other team membersDemonstrated strong forklift driving abilitiesAttention to detail and accuracy, sort, check, count, and verify numbersGood mathematical backgroundDemonstrated mechanical aptitudeGood communication skills (written and verbal); ability to listen, and excellent grammarAbility to work independently, self-starter, energeticKnowledge of MS Office, Excel and WordCompetent organizing and prioritizing skills to work efficientlyFlexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possible weekends or eveningsAbility to communicate effectively in challenging situationsAbility to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum directionExperienced in computerized inventory management systemExperienced in operating a computer-controlled processRequirements include strong attention to detail, good communication skills, knowledge of production, problem-solving skills, good power of observation, analytical thinking skills, a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
