CPT offers a multidisciplinary approach to treat a variety of neurological and developmental disorders. Our services are delivered in the most appropriate environment for the child, whether that is in the home, daycare, school, or one of our outpatient facilities in Danville, Lynchburg, South Boston or Martinsville, Virginia.Learn more at www.centerforpediatrictherapies.com.The Pediatric Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes; providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patient’s condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate speech therapy method. The OT works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including SLPs, PTs, and teachers. COTA supervision may be necessary.Qualifications and SkillsDegree from an accredited school programCurrent Virginia license and registration as a Occupational Therapist or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Occupational Therapist.Current CPR certificationValid driver's licenseExperience in pediatric occupational therapy (preferred, not required)Supervisory experience (preferred, not required)New graduates will be consideredBenefits:Competitive salary.
