About the Role Enbridge is seeking a
Senior Engineer (Mechanical/Pipeline)
to join the
Engineering Management Office (EMO) . The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, maintenance, and implementation of engineering governance standards across all business units and project types. This position supports strategic initiatives and promotes consistency, efficiency, and excellence in project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Standards Development:
Lead the creation and upkeep of engineering governance documents: procedures, standards, templates, guides. Ensure a harmonized approach to project execution across U.S. and Canadian business units.
Process Optimization & Alignment:
Identify opportunities to streamline engineering workflows and improve document consistency. Define fit-for-purpose governance for varying project scopes (Liquids, Gas, Renewables).
Cross-Functional Engagement:
Represent EMO at stakeholder reviews, workshops, and business initiatives. Facilitate stakeholder training and awareness sessions (virtual/in-person). Drive discussions, decisions, and feedback resolution during document reviews.
Project Lifecycle Support:
Participate in Project Health Checks and Stage Gate reviews. Conduct peer reviews of engineering deliverables with PTMO and PMO.
Systems & Asset Management:
Support asset class/type development with SMEs and contractors. Maintain the Project Item Master Library and cloud-based repository (Kahua). Review deviations and change requests to governance documents.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering
or
Pipeline Engineering
(required). 15+ years
of experience in the
Oil & Gas industry
(required). Demonstrated experience in:
Large and small-scale Oil & Gas projects (Liquids, Natural Gas). Engineering deliverables and inter-discipline interfaces (Procurement, Construction, QA, Commissioning). Asset management (preferred). Renewable energy projects (a plus). Pipeline design (an asset).
Strong documentation, time management, and communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and related business applications.
