Overview
The Claims Specialist is responsible for supporting the sales team by organizing and completing the required warranty and standard claims process and to ensure accuracy in order to receive payment from the OEM for services provided, based on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA. Responsibilities
Filing claims into the company\'s systems and any other required systems. Working closely with the sales team, claims/warranty team, customers and the OEM to ensure all claim information is correct and making changes when necessary. Troubleshooting warranty and claims issues with the team and the OEM. Reporting monthly claim and quarterly forecasted value total. Billing the OEM within the ERP system for VSE credits due. Maintaining a consistent understanding of changes made to Service Bulletins and Technical data. Trains, monitors and provides guidance to claims/warranty team regarding Service bulletins, technical data and process changes. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements
Associates degree or comparable Technical Sales and/or Customer Service experience (2-3 years). Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Team oriented, resourceful and fast learning. Experience with prioritizing and coordinating. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Close attention to detail. Preferred Requirements
Proficient in MS Office suite, strong Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Power BI or other BI tool. Knowledge of Component Control Quantum or equivalent. Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail when working with internal and customer data. Proven ability to handle multiple projects to meet goals and deadlines. Ability to communicate technical and customer-specific information clearly. Proven record of reliability and consistent attendance. Background check and drug testing may be required.
