Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Shredder Maintenance to support our night shift operations in North Little Rock, AR. This role is essential to maintaining and repairing equipment that keeps our facility running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, shredders, and sorting lines Stick welding and fabrication on stationary equipment Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Maintain and repair mobile equipment (forklifts, loaders, skid steers, etc.) Ensure proper parts inventory and order as needed Maintain accurate maintenance records and daily reports Wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications
Proficient in stick welding and fabrication (required) Ability to lift 30-50 lbs independently Familiarity with forklifts, loaders, and material separators preferred Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute ratios and percentages) High school diploma or GED preferred Why Join Alter?
