VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley is growing! We are adding experienced and knowledgeable ER Veterinary Assistants to our team as we gear up to extend our hours back to 24/7 after updating and remodeling our beautiful, fully equipped facility! Location: 22123 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364 Compensation: $25 $35 / hr. Shift diff two dollars/hr. depending on shift from 7 pm - 7 am Schedule: 8:30 pm - 7 am At VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley (VCA VSV), we offer emergency, critical, and urgent care for dogs and cats, as well as internal medicine, neurology, oncology, and surgery services. We work closely with local veterinarians to provide comprehensive, specialty-level veterinary care for pets. Essential Functions: Physical examinations and patient assessment Anesthesia monitoring Surgical preparation and assisting Radiology Laboratory work Venipuncture Catheter placement Pharmacy Patient recovery Client Communication Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals Qualifications: Must have documented previous experience RVT license eligibility is preferred Must have emergency experience Flexibility in hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays Customer service skills Working knowledge of computers Excellent communication skills Capable of being cross-trained as a receptionist and kennel assistant Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments If you are a current associate, you need to apply through our internal career site.
