Selectek has an immediate opening for an Assistant Production Manager in Conyers, GA.   In this role, you will support daily operations at their state-of-the-art Waste-to-Energy facility. You will report directly to the Operations Manager. This role will help ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant plant performance while providing leadership to the operations team and collaborating across departments. Requirements: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred). 5+ years of experience in industrial plant operations, preferably in energy production, waste-to-energy, utilities, or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with power generation systems, combustion technologies, boilers, and plant operating procedures. Strong understanding of environmental and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.). Demonstrated leadership and team coordination abilities. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in plant monitoring systems, reporting tools, and general computer applications. Main Duties: Support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily plant operations, including fuel handling, combustion systems, steam generation, emissions control, and auxiliary systems. Help implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational best practices. Monitor plant performance metrics and assist in identifying improvement opportunities to enhance reliability, efficiency, and uptime. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.). Provide day-to-day supervision and mentorship to operators, technicians, and support personnel. Collaborate with maintenance personnel to coordinate scheduled maintenance and repairs. Assist in troubleshooting process or equipment issues and contribute to root cause analyses. Support the preparation of operational reports and input for planning and budgeting activities. Promote continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence, sustainability, and waste reduction. Serve as a liaison between the operations team and other departments such as Maintenance, HR, Accounting, and Purchasing.
