• Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Locum Tenens
• Location: Milwaukee, WI 53215
• Healthcare Setting: Level III Trauma Center, 21 OR beds
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 6, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10-hour evening shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: Required, 30-minute response time
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,120 - $2,180

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or compact state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an Operating Room RN in general surgical specialties
• Proven experience with high-acuity cases: General, Vascular, ENT, Robotics, and Urology
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system
• Strong background in robotic surgery required
• Not recommended for first-time travel nurses
  
  

OR RN Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub in a wide range of surgical procedures: Neuro/ENT, Orthopedic, General (Breasts/Plastics), Vascular, Laparoscopic, Oncology, Genitourinary (GU), Gynecology (GYN), and Robotics
• Prepare and set up operating rooms for complex surgical cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EHR
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
• Adhere to hospital policies and maintain a safe, sterile environment
• Float within main OR specialties and Urology center as needed (no floating to other hospitals)
