Overview
This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include directing PCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessing patients, planning care/interventions, teaching patients and families, implementing treatment plans, following MD orders, documenting, and evaluating patient care. Integration of patient care standards is incorporated into all clinical activities.
This role requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center. The employee is expected to demonstrate behavior aligned with the core values of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC Healthcare Inc. Additionally, the employee shall support the hospital’s strategic plan, goals, and performance improvement initiatives. Qualifications
- Education/Training/Experience: Graduate of RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred. One year of acute care experience preferred. Basic computer skills preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current CA RN license, BLS-HCP, ACLS (excluding NICU), NRP (Labor & Delivery / OB Acute / NICU), PALS (Emergency Department only). Optional: Basic Dysrhythmia Class for RNs with at least 6 months of experience and successful EKG competency exam. Additional unit-specific certifications may be required, such as PALS for Emergency, NIH Certification, Management of Assaultive Behavior, and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred. Emergency Nursing Course preferred.

1. For new graduate/RN new to the specialty unit: required within the first 30 days.
2. For new graduate/RN new to the specialty unit: required within the first 90 days.
3. For new graduate/RN new to the specialty unit: required within the first 6 months.
4. For new graduate/RN new to the specialty unit: required within the first 12 months.
