Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Meridian, ID 83642 (Idaho nursing jobs)
• Facility Setting: Acute Care – Telemetry Unit (27 beds, expanding to 37)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (1900-0730), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1800
• Assignment Duration: 20 weeks (Start: 9/1/2025 – End: 1/19/2026)
• Orientation: System onboarding plus 2 orientation shifts
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Idaho RN license or compact state Registered Nurse license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience
• Proficient in cardiac drips, NIH stroke assessment, post-cath recovery, and chest tube management
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Skilled in reading and interpreting telemetry strips; documentation required every 6 hours
• Willing to float to similar units and Med/Surg, and to Boise or Nampa Medical Centers as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
  
  

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac, stroke, and complex medical conditions
• Monitor and document telemetry readings using SpaceLab and Philips monitors
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge nurses, nurse aides, and respiratory therapists
• Care for patients with CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, CAD, renal and respiratory failure, and post-cath lab recovery
• Utilize and manage CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment (RT support provided)
• Maintain professional standards, including clean and well-kept scrubs of any color
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Document patient care in Epic EMR system
