The PreOp RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.
Job Summary: The RN is responsible for perioperative nursing care and execution of the medical plan of care for surgical patients, ensuring safe and effective care in the perioperative setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care using the nursing process and the medical plan of care in the perioperative setting.
- Deliver safe, effective, and family-centered care for all patient populations undergoing perioperative procedures.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of United Surgical Partners International, Inc.
- Coordinate with the peri-operative team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must have at least 1-3 years of previous experience in PreOP/PACU.
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient conditions when needed.
