Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Job Title: Travel Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Zanesville, OH 43701
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown, Open Heart Recovery, Telemetry Cardiac
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780–$1910
• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM — 7:30 PM
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Start Date: September 15, 2025 or October 20, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every 3rd weekend and 1 holiday (subject to census and staffing)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of recent cardiac stepdown nursing experience, including heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, post-op open heart patients, and cardiac/med-surg stepdown care
• Proficient with Open-Heart, ventilators, and Epic EMR
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including post-op open heart and heart cath recovery
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips, ventilators, and telemetry equipment
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate patient documentation and care coordination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other nursing units during low census or staffing needs
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, quality care, and clinical support
