Night Shift Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Night Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team in a highly automated facility. This position operates on a rotating schedule from 6 PM to 6 AM, requiring work every other weekend. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining production equipment, ensuring continuous operation, and providing technical assistance for automated systems.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in production equipment maintenance to ensure continuous production.
• Perform troubleshooting, regular preventive maintenance plan execution, and equipment modifications.
• Provide technical assistance to operators and other departments regarding automated systems.
• Perform routine maintenance checks, identifying and troubleshooting malfunctions on automated machinery and processes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including mechanical and electrical components and systems.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical malfunctions on production equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, completed repairs, equipment issues, and replacement part usage.
• Install new and automated systems and equipment, including wiring, configuring controllers, and setting up sensors.
• Analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure proper operation of production equipment.
• Conduct daily checks of production equipment during up and downtime.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of machine repair experience on industrial equipment.
• Strong experience in repairing pneumatic systems.
• Understanding of electrical systems, mechanical principles, pneumatic and computer control systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve simple to complex technical issues within automated systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with mechanical components, including servo motors, actuators, AC motors, sensors, etc.

The facility is enormous, requiring a lot of walking from building to building and across the plant. The environment is meticulously clean, temperature-controlled, and brightly lit. The facility emphasizes 5S3K principles.

Job Type & Location:

This is a permanent position based out of Holland, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $77792.00/yr. The company offers 100% company paid health insurance premiums for full-time employees and their eligible dependents. This means that no funds are deducted from an employee's paycheck for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Benefits start the first of the month from when you start. They provide $110 per week for employees to pay for babysitting services through a user-friendly app.
