Housekeeping (Full Time) Location: Medical Center, 600 Medical Center Drive, Newton, KS 67114. Category: ENVIRON SVCS.

Responsibilities
- Traditional janitorial tasks like mopping and dusting
- Requires an understanding of proper handling and disposal of biological waste
- Have contact with patients, family members and employees
- Strong communication, confidentiality and customer service skills are key
- Clean and maintain assigned areas in and around the hospital to ensure a neat, sanitary and safe environment
Full-time position
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent desired
- Prior housekeeping a plus
Knowledge, skills, & abilities
- Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service to all customers including others on the environmental services team, employees throughout the facility and external customers
- Ability and willingness to follow written and oral instructions
- Quality and speed needed for this position
- Ability to lift 25 pounds or more, stoop, bend, stand and walk for an 8-hour shift or longer. Will also need to climb ladders and clean windows
