Security Administrator Job at Soni Resources in New York

Our client, a mission-driven organization based in New York City, is seeking a Security Administrator to support their network security operations and contribute to various IT initiatives. This individual will play a key role in maintaining cybersecurity infrastructure, managing vendor systems, and providing training and support across affiliated locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain network and infrastructure security.
  
  
• Administer security tools including MDR and email filtering platforms.
  
  
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies for internal teams and third-party vendors.
  
  
• Investigate and respond to security alerts and incidents.
  
  
• Apply regular firmware, software updates, and security patches.
  
  
• Conduct security audits and system reviews.
  
  
• Deliver cybersecurity training and support to affiliated locations.
  
  
• Manage the phishing simulation and security awareness platform.
  
  
• Assist with broader IT projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, business, or a related field.
  
  
• 5+ years' experience in a security-focused IT role.
  
  
• Hands-on experience with Watchguard, Cisco, and Meraki systems.
  
  
• Familiarity with Rapid7 MDR and Proofpoint is a strong plus.
  
  
• Skilled in using network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  
  
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.

Compensation: $120,000-140,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
