Job Title: Construction SuperintendentJob Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for an exciting 8+ month project in Sunnyvale, CA. As a secondary superintendent on site, you will oversee the upgrading of mechanical and electrical systems in live telecom/carrier facilities. This role requires close coordination with client operations teams to ensure the seamless execution of construction tasks.
Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day site supervision and coordination of all construction phases.

Study and understand contract drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and client standards to meet design and client requirements.

Schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries to maintain project timelines.

Perform quality control inspections to ensure compliance with client standards.

Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing their contracted scopes of work.

Coordinate required inspections with local authorities.

Manage job site safety programs and identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

Maintain project documentation, including daily logs and 3-week look-ahead schedules.

Conduct subcontractor meetings and address field conflicts.

Manage site cleanliness and organization.

Lead job progress and closeout punch list processes.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Promote a culture of safety, diversity, and inclusion across the jobsite.
Essential Skills
-
Proficiency with Procore and MS Projects.

3+ years of experience as a lead superintendent on heavy mechanical and electrical scope projects.

Experience in construction management, mission-critical environments, and subcontractor management.

Strong scheduling and documentation skills.
-
OSHA-30 certification.

Ability to read plans, specifications, and schedules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Preferred 5 years of experience in mission-critical construction as a superintendent.

High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training in construction preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is a plus.

OSHA-10 certification required within 30 days of hire; First Aid/CPR preferred.

Valid driver's license required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience working with Vertiv equipment is a big plus.

Verizon experience is a big plus.
Work Environment
This role involves working on live facilities, requiring collaboration with client operations teams. The project operates predominantly during the day with some night work required within the Verizon maintenance window. Travel expenses, including airfare, parking, and rental cars or mileage, will be covered for trips home every other weekend. The work schedule is primarily from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with approximately 20% of the work occurring at night. The site requires strict adherence to safety protocols, and the dress code is professional appropriate for a construction environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $56.00/hr.
