Position Summary:
We are looking for a proactive, strategic, and data-driven Head of Marketing to lead and oversee all marketing initiatives for our home improvement company. This role is ideal for someone who thinks like a "General Contractor" of marketing—able to manage projects, direct teams, and ensure every marketing dollar works like a vending machine (not a slot machine). You’ll be responsible for crafting and executing marketing campaigns that generate predictable leads, elevate brand authority, and convert attention into action.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation Strategy
- Own and optimize all outbound and inbound lead channels, including Google Ads( PPC, LSA), SEO, Angie's List, Thumbtack, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube referral campaigns, local ads (billboards, ShopRite, yard signs), and direct mail campaigns. Focus on turning marketing from a slot machine into a vending machine—where spend becomes predictable and performance-driven.
- Agency & Vendor Management
- Collaborate with external SEO agencies. Audit strategy and execution regularly to maximize ROI. Use clear KPIs to measure success and hold vendors accountable (e.g. CAC, CPL, quality of booked appointments).
- Google ad management
Own and manage Google PPC and Local Services Ads (LSA) campaigns. Responsibilities include keyword research, ad copywriting, budget optimization, and landing page alignment.
- Campaign Performance & Analytics
- Monitor campaign performance across channels. Track key marketing metrics such as CAC, CPL, lead-to-appointment rate, and close rate. Identify and fix bottlenecks in the marketing funnel using a data-first mindset. You will be responsible for maintaining and delivering a running KPI dashboard and control map/flowchart to track campaign performance and marketing ROI.
- CRM & Lead Nurturing
- Leverage Go High Level (GHL) to manage lead flow, automate follow-ups, and ensure fast, consistent communication with prospects. Track and attribute each lead to its correct source within Go High Level, coordinating with the GHL team to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity. Prior experience in GHL is helpful but not required—the ability to direct its use is key.
- Budget Ownership
- Manage a marketing budget of $50K–$60K/month. Allocate spend strategically across paid channels based on performance. Test and optimize new channels or creative formats regularly. Use data to double down on what drives results and cut what doesn’t.
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Partner closely with internal lead setters and sales teams to align on campaign messaging, qualify leads effectively, and increase conversions. Ensure feedback loops between marketing and sales are tight and actionable.
- Scalable Growth Strategy
- Build scalable campaigns that reduce CAC over time. Implement performance-tiered strategies that prioritize fast response, urgency, and targeting the right audience with the right message.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5+ years of experience in performance marketing, preferably in a growth-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of paid media (Google Ads, PPC), SEO, and direct mail.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and analyzing campaign ROI.
- Comfortable working with CRM platforms (Go High Level experience is highly preferred).
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Experience in home services, construction, or similar industries is a plus—but not required.
Why Join?
- Flexible hybrid schedule with a collaborative team.
- Direct impact on company growth and marketing strategy.
- Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives.
- Opportunity to build and lead the marketing function in a scaling business.
