Rochester Electronics is immediately hiring for a Manufacturing Training Associate on a temporary basis.General SummaryThe Manufacturing Training Associate will be responsible for the manufacturing operations department’s new hire onboarding and will lead orientation and training activities. They will assist in creating training content and the training of manufacturing employees. The role will support content creation, training, tracking of documents, conformance to established policies & procedures, and compliance with manufacturer programs. ResponsibilitiesPrepare and conduct onboarding trainings, including a department/company overview, ESD and FOD online trainings, conduct eye exam, clean room protocol and handling ESD Devices.Communicate with management to determine new hire, transfer, and intern/co-op onboarding needs and provide training accordingly.Facilitate new hires’ completion of 90-day onboarding items, including procedure acknowledgements, web-based trainings, instructor-led trainings, and other items as appropriate. Maintain records of completed items in shared archive.Coordinate and schedule trainings required by established criteria, such as LEAN manufacturing, 6S, yearly eye exam or other requirements.Oversee preboarding activities between management and HR; track for completion.Prepare onboarding packets and communicate with new hires prior to onboarding orientation.Track and maintain employees’ training Matrices for multiple Operations departments and perform periodic audits to ensure alignment with documented training records.Send out new hire feedback surveys, organize data and provide analysis.Assist in creating or preparing training content including screen shots and video with the use of Word, PowerPoint, or other programs.Provide support to manufacturing staff, answering routine questions, and escalating where appropriate. Perform data entry and maintenance into the RE learning management system.Manage training laptop inventory and software updates.Prepare training material for deliveryPerform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsRequires an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience, in administrative support, talent management, public speaking, data entry, and/or training and development; or other combination of education and experience 2 years experience required, within a manufacturing environment, especially semiconductor assembly, helpful.Previous customer service experience preferred.Ability to work independently to achieve defined goals and able to absorb new information and adapt quickly to changes in process and priorities.Organization skills and attention to detail are critical.Strong administrative skills, highly proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
