We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Precision Gear
team.
This position will continuously improve product quality by developing and executing specific plans and processes to improve productivity and operational improvements to our manufacturing processes.
Principal Responsibilities: Initiate and manage projects in the areas of products, processes, equipment, tooling, material handling and facilities. •
Apply project management principles to meet project deliverables on time and budget. •
Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. •
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements •
Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems •
Evaluate manufacturing processes based on the quality, criteria, efficiency, and speed •
Study production and machine requirements •
Oversee ISO audits •
Resolve issues and delays in production •
Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality •
Train staff in new and existing processes •
Support TS 16939, customer audits and annual recertifications
Experience & Qualifications: o
Developing and implementing manufacturing processes, new grads encouraged to apply o
Experience with Gears manufacturing a plus o
Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing technology including, precision grinding and CNC machining o
Experience with light automation, process flow and cell layout. o
Strong leadership and communication skills. o
Facilities management experience a plus. o
Proficient in CAD software, preferably Solidworks o
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 work environment
Education:
Bachelor’s in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering is preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience will be considered.
