The Client is seeking an experienced
rtificial Intelligence Developer
with a strong background in
machine learning, computer vision, and OCR technologies . This role will focus on building and optimizing image-based machine learning solutions to support real-time, large-scale transaction processing systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with proven experience developing robust, production-ready solutions in Python.
Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize machine learning-based computer vision components, including: Object detection and image classification models. OCR pipelines integrating third-party and in-house engines. Image quality assessment classifiers (e.g., overexposed, underexposed, obstructed).
Develop robust, production-ready Python code with strong Object-Oriented Design principles. Collaborate with architects to integrate ML components into distributed, message-driven systems. Implement data-driven training, evaluation, and continuous improvement pipelines. Optimize model performance for near real-time transaction workflows. Participate in system-level design discussions, ensuring scalability and maintainability. Work closely with API, database, and DevOps teams to enable smooth deployment. Produce full documentation (technical/functional designs, test scripts, lessons learned, etc.) per PTC standards. Lead and contribute to project team activities and system work efforts. Ensure compliance with PTC policies, standards, and procedures. Required Skills & Experience
Strong Python programming skills
(must be clearly demonstrated on resume). Solid foundation in software engineering: OOP, design patterns, clean/testable code. Experience with
image processing and computer vision frameworks
(OpenCV, Pillow). Hands-on experience with
machine learning frameworks
(PyTorch, TensorFlow). OCR-related experience (Tesseract, PaddleOCR, EasyOCR, or custom models). Familiarity with object detection models (YOLO, Faster R-CNN, SSD, etc.). Strong knowledge of classification, feature extraction, and evaluation metrics. Proficiency with
Microsoft Office 365
and
Microsoft ADO Testing Module . Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience translating ML research into production-ready systems. Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and scalability. Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical trade-offs. Knowledge of
Enterprise Business Solutions
(SAP projects preferred). Familiarity with
ITIL / ITSM practices . Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Engagement Requirements
Candidate must be located within the Continental U.S. Must attend
onsite meetings in Middletown, PA once per quarter . Must attend
one-day onsite orientation
(equipment pickup required in person). May be required to provide
onsite post go-live support
(1-2 week rotations).
