Level 1 Trauma Center Shift:
11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Hours:
36 per week Contract Length:
13 weeks On-Call:
2 shifts per six-week schedule; weekends as needed Holiday Coverage:
1 summer and 1 fall/winter holiday; must work the day before or after if off the holiday; must work both an evening and a day shift; required to work a winter hallmark and spring hallmark Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of Level 1 trauma nursing experience required Scrub and circulate experience in the operating room Active New Jersey RN license (NJ RN jobs) BSN degree preferred BLS and NIHSS certifications required COVID vaccination (fully vaccinated with 1 booster) required Strong attention to detail for patient safety and quality monitoring Excellent organizational skills for coordination of care in the OR Flexibility to meet departmental needs; no consecutive days or weeks of requested time off (RTOs) accepted Submission of all required documents as a single "Submission Profile" (cover letter, resume, skills checklist, license verification) OR RN Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care in the operating room, maintaining safety and quality standards Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures across multiple specialties Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical healthcare team Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery; respond promptly to changes in patient condition Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures Participate in on-call and holiday coverage as scheduled Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a busy trauma center environment
