Job Description
The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT/CVIS) will be responsible for preparing and assisting in cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) including STEMI procedures, and various other interventional procedures. The role involves monitoring and documenting hemodynamic data before, during, and after procedures, and providing essential support to the physician.
Responsibilities
Prepare and prep for cardiac catheterization procedures and other interventional procedures.
Monitor, document, and calculate hemodynamic data.
Provide procedural assistance to the physician during pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases.
Assess and manage access sites, ensuring proper communication with the physician.
Adhere to on-call protocols for the cardiac catheterization lab.
Prepare patients for procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Direct and current experience in a cardiac cath lab is required.
RCIS certification is preferred.
Must hold a BLS, ACLS certification, and experience with IABP.
Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentials are mandatory.
