Job Description

As a Lead Massage Therapist you will be responsible for providing Massage and Spa services to guests with unparalleled personalized service, professionalism and come with exceptional knowledge in the field of the healing arts. Provide all massages and spa treatments as outlined in The Auberge Resorts Collection protocol manual. Train all new therapists, coordinate sign-offs, and research/organize refresher training for the therapist team. Develop, implement and reinforce spa treatment protocols, ensuring the protocol handbook is up to date and accurate. Oversee consistency of services by providing continual training, monitoring product usage, and ensuring all massage therapists start and end treatments on time. Assist the Spa Manager in ensuring adequate coverage on all shifts. Lead and motivate massage therapist team. Assist in establishing and maintaining standards of excellence in professional image and services. Work with the Spa Manager to update the spa menu and create new spa treatments as needed. Develop an annual plan for seasonal specials and meet deadlines for launching specials. Assist Spa Manager with overall operations of spa to ensure guest and employee areas are well organized and meet Auberge Resorts standards of cleanliness. Ensure all massage equipment is functioning properly and make recommendations for maintenance. Work closely with the Lead Esthetician and the Spa Supervisor to collaborate on projects and share important spa information. Take monthly product and massage supply inventory and work with the Spa Manager to order professional products. Maintain helpful, cooperative relations with co-workers. Explain and promote all spa and resort facilities, services and activities to guests, members and staff. Follow-up with Spa Manager on all comments, concerns and suggestions made by staff, members and resort guests. Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned. Maintain Therapist Weekly Schedule Qualifications

Required

Certificate of completion from a state or nationally certified school of massage indicating a minimum of 750 hours of training in massage therapy. Current and active New Mexico Certification 4-6 years of experience as a Massage Therapist. Minimum of one year's experience training other therapists to perform massages/body treatments and writing treatment protocols. Advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology, understanding of the relationship between the structure and function of the human body, understanding of the theory, contraindications and benefits of massage therapy. Must be available to work at least one weekend day (Saturdays and Sundays) Preferred

1-2 years of experience in a training or lead role preferred. Experience working with vendors, requesting samples and sourcing new products. Board Certification
