Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer with over 15 years of expertise building enterprise-grade C# applications and systems. This role emphasizes advanced hands-on development, technical leadership, and mentoring, with a focus on designing and delivering scalable, high-performance solutions. The ideal candidate is a senior engineer who thrives in complex problem-solving, sets technical direction through code and collaboration, and raises the engineering bar across the team.

May be required to obtain and maintain a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-On Development & Technical Leadership (70%): Design, build, and maintain high-quality C#/.NET Core applications and services. Implement complex business logic, APIs, and system integrations with external platforms (ERP, MES, SaaS, etc.). Write clean, testable, and performant code while championing best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and technical debt. Lead by example through active coding, prototyping, and technical problem-solving. Collaboration & Mentorship (15%):

Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to quality and maintainability standards. Collaborate with product owners, QA, and IS teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

System Design & Continuous Improvement (15%):

Contribute to high-level design discussions to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability. Recommend and evaluate tools, frameworks, and technologies that improve development efficiency and product performance. Advocate for engineering excellence and continuous improvement in processes and practices.

Required Qualifications:

15 years of professional software development experience, with at least 10 years in C# and .NET ecosystems. Deep expertise in C#, .NET Core, and modern .NET frameworks. Proven experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and third-party integrations. Strong knowledge of databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL) and data optimization. Some familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks. Track record of delivering high-quality, production-grade software in complex environments. Soft Skills:

Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and mentorship abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Vue.JS) for full-stack development. Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, or Event Sourcing patterns. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps. Benefits:
