Responsibilities The Rotating Equipment Engineer will provide technical support regarding selection, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and long-term reliability of rotating equipment. Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and provide technical support for major capital projects. Conduct performance analysis of rotating equipment to identify performance & operating deviations to provide a resolution on developing deficiencies. Lead continuous improvement of reliability of rotating equipment through the development and application of effective reliability strategies such. Develop the rotating equipment engineering repair scope for all outages, as well as major and turnaround maintenance events. Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles. Relocation provided. $130K-$180K. Requirements The Rotating Equipment / Machinery Engineer will have a BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering. 8 + years' experience working in the chemical industry required. Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, in particular heavy duty gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, large pumps, and vibration monitoring systems. Knowledge of oil and gas industry codes and practices Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
