Long term contract opportunity for a Sr. Azure Enterprise Architect.

Client requirements:

Hybrid onsite

(preference for 2-3 days/onsite -flexible) in the Minneapolis, MN area Work authorization requirements:

US Citizen or Green Card holder W2 hourly only (client does NOT allow C2C) Overview:

Sr. Azure Enterprise Architect to take ownership of a critical initiative: migrating enterprise databases and applications to Microsoft Azure. You will be the technical leader driving the design, architecture, and execution of this transformation, working closely with another Solution Architect and a global team of DBAs and developers (onshore, nearshore, offshore).

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape enterprise-level solutions, guide data integration strategies, and ensure a smooth, scalable migration path to Azure.

Responsibilities:

Lead and own the enterprise architecture and design for our Azure migration initiative. Collaborate with existing Solution Architects, DBAs, and Developers to align strategy and execution. Provide technical leadership and instruction for ETL design processes and best practices. Drive migration of applications, databases, and data pipelines into Azure. Support the team in designing and implementing modern data platforms using Azure services. Ensure scalability, performance, and security in cloud-native solutions. Stay ahead of upcoming initiatives, including adoption of Azure Fabric and expansion into AWS. Required Skills & Experience:

Proven track record with Azure enterprise implementation/migration projects. Deep expertise in data-centric environments, with hands-on experience in: Azure Data Factory Azure Data Lake Databricks Strong background in cloud computing and modern data platforms. Ability to guide and mentor teams on ETL design and architecture. Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code. Exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics (including dedicated Spark pools). Strong architectural leadership skills in enterprise environments. Nice to Have:

Experience with Azure Fabric (upcoming adoption initiative). Exposure to AWS (planned adoption in the next phase). What We Offer:

W2 pay range

for this type of role is approximately $85.00 - $97.00 per billable hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
