Job description

Siteworks is hiring for the position of heavy equipment operator. Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years experience and needs to be proficient on multiple types of equipment including bulldozers, excavators, front-end loader, backhoe, and skid steer. Efficient operation of a motor grader is also highly desirable.

Job Description:

Candidate needs to operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner to perform daily tasks which include grading, digging trenches for installation of utilities and storm drainage, and loading trucks. Knowledge of proper safety precautions and benching techniques are required. Equipment operators are responsible for fueling, greasing, and periodic maintenance of equipment. Heavy equipment operators will be expected to assist utility and storm crews when necessary.

Required skills:

• 2+ years’ experience operating heavy equipment

• Must practice safety when operating equipment

• Must perform maintenance tasks to take care of equipment

• Must have reliable transportation to work everyday

• Must be willing to work overtime hours when needed; this includes nights and

weekends occasionally

• Must be able to grade for curb, concrete, and asphalt

• Must be able to dig efficiently for installation of utilities and storm drainage

• Must be able to read blueprints and grade stakes

• Operation of transit laser level is a plus
