Setup and operate all inkjet and mailing devices according to specification on the job ticket as well as maintaining quality standards of jobs produced by these machines.

Ensure each and every order is produced to specification while meeting delivery deadlines.

Review job ticket and printed sample for finishing specifications.

Make final pre-run inspection.

Report to shift manager or production expediter any problems that may delay job from proceeding to next process.

Accurately record shop floor data entries in a timely and accurate manner.

Monitor and record final part count on project ticket.

Complete load tag to identify job and attach to load.

Deliver completed project to next operation.

Direct equipment helpers.

Assist other finishing operators working on other equipment as schedule allows.

Participate in regular overtime rotation.

Consult with CSR’s/Planners/Estimators on mail projects as needed.

Responsible for the evaluation and approval of the physical mail piece design as it relates to the processing category, class of mail and postage rate claimed.

Recommend design changes to meet USPS automation compatibility.

Maintain established checkpoints and procedures throughout run.

Perform routine preventative maintenance as required.

Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.

Other duties as assigned by manager.

Required Skills

Requires knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment.

Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment.

Typically, the adjustments performed at this level are routine and the need for such adjustments are readily apparent.

Required Experience

1-2 years previous set up and operation of ink jet, digital, or other bindery equipment preferred.

Good mechanical skills.

Knowledge of mailing regulations helpful.

Intermediate computer skills.

Qualifications:
