About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of US Programs to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for its regional operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that regional management is in line with global objectives and mission, overseeing program implementation, developing partnerships, managing budgets, leading a high-performance team, and engaging with stakeholders. This role requires the cultivation of relationships with key partners, donors, and stakeholders to enhance the organization's impact, as well as the development and execution of strategic plans, including partnerships and fundraising. The Head of US Programs will also be expected to represent the organization at high-profile events and in the media, advocating for its mission and initiatives. Applicants for the Head of US Programs position should have a minimum of 10 years' professional experience, with at least 3-5 years in early childhood education, and a proven track record in nonprofit management. The role demands a deep understanding of regional issues, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to social impact, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. A preferred advanced degree in a related field is also required. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and experience in diverse, multicultural environments are essential, as is a willingness to travel within the US and internationally.
