We develop and implement groundbreaking products and techniques that shape industry norms, and solve complex technical problems. Product Engineering is responsible for Disney Entertainment & ESPN digital and streaming products and platforms, including product engineering, media engineering, quality assurance, personalization, commerce, lifecycle, and identity. Responsibilities Work with Product and Business teams to understand user flows for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN commerce, such as sign-up, switch, cancellation, and account management. Transform requirements into technical implementations in collaboration with the Product team. Develop a future-proof presentation API for commerce experiences. Understand dependencies between core commerce systems like payments, billing, and subscriptions, and their impact on users. Manage the full software development lifecycle: conceptualization, design, implementation, code review, testing, launch, and performance measurement. Define metrics to monitor system health. Develop code for APIs and services in TypeScript. Ensure quality through unit, integration, and load testing. Participate in code and design reviews. Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of related experience. Proficiency in server-side development and TypeScript. Strong understanding of Node.js ecosystem. Experience with API design and stakeholder collaboration. Excellent communication skills. Experience with high-scale consumer applications. #DISNEYTECH The salary range in Glendale, CA is $112,600 - $151,000, and in Seattle, WA and New York, NY is $118,000 - $158,200.
