KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We're looking for a dynamic technology leader to drive enterprise-level transformation across our merchandising systems. In this role, you'll lead the design, implementation, and optimization of platforms that power our omnichannel retail experience across stores, e-commerce, and supply chain. You'll work at the intersection of technology, merchandising strategy, and operational excellence to deliver innovative solutions at scale.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following: Shape Strategy: Define and execute the roadmap for merchandising systems supporting omnichannel retail transformation. Lead Enterprise Systems: Oversee design, deployment, and optimization of planning, assortment, and product lifecycle management platforms. Enable Omnichannel Integration: Ensure seamless systems connectivity across stores, online, and supply chain channels. Drive Transformation: Lead enterprise-level system upgrades, migrations, and technology adoption initiatives. Empower Data-Driven Decisions: Build analytics and reporting capabilities to provide actionable insights for merchandising teams. Ensure Compliance & Security: Maintain systems that meet security, regulatory, and governance standards. Deliver Engineering Excellence: Lead high-performing teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions. Manage Vendors & Partners: Drive relationships with technology vendors and integrators to maximize value and innovation. Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with Merchandising, Product, Supply Chain, and Retail Operations to ensure technology meets business needs. Develop Talent: Build and mentor a top-tier engineering team specializing in product and merchandising technology. About Guitar Center

you'll

need

the

following

experience:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or a combination of experience and education; Master's preferred. 10+ years of experience in technology engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles in retail or consumer-focused organizations. Deep expertise in merchandising, planning, and product lifecycle systems. Proven experience leading enterprise-level technology transformations. Critical business acumen with strong, proven partnership alongside all stakeholders. Strong cross-functional collaboration, vendor management, and team leadership skills.

Pay Rate:

$163,000- $209,00 depending on background and experience.

This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance.
