January 10, 2026 Hours per Week:
40 Shift:
Variable 4x10 hour shifts (start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM) Unit:
PACU (14 bays, 1:2 patient ratio, approx. 35 patients/day) On Call:
One night per week for 4 weeks out of every 6-week schedule; every 5th weekend (30-minute response time) Holiday Rotation:
Required PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Wisconsin RN license - required for Wisconsin nursing jobs Minimum 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience in a hospital setting Experience with post cardiac and pediatric patients required Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS Epic charting experience strongly preferred; must have prior electronic charting experience if no Epic Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred PACU RN Responsibilities
Deliver post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from a range of surgical procedures, including general, spine, neuro, GI, ENT, cardiac, peripheral vascular, and orthopedic surgeries Stabilize ICU patients prior to transfer Monitor and assess patient status, administer medications, and respond to clinical emergencies Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Participate in on-call rotation and holiday coverage as scheduled Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care
