Job Description
The Intermediate Care unit (IMCU) is a pivotal component of our healthcare system, providing step-down care for patients who require more specialized attention than a standard medical-surgical unit. This role involves delivering exceptional, evidence-based care to adult acute care patients transitioning from various departments such as the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.
Responsibilities
Provide continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring for patients. Manage airway support, BIPAP, arterial and central lines. Administer titrated medicated IV infusions as per patient needs. Adapt quickly to changing clinical situations, promoting a vigilant and compassionate care approach. Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Must have a current NY RN license in hand. Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience in a similar setting. Experience with Epic charting system is required. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory. Previous charge experience is preferred. Ability to float as needed between ICU and MS units. Why ARMStaffing?
