Hybrid, 3 days remote with 2 days (Thursdays and Fridays) required to be onsite

Required: • Availability to work 2 days per week at the Client's site in

Austin, TX

(required ); • Experience in writing and executing test cases, as well as creating test plans (8+ years); • Knowledge of software usability concepts and requirements traceability, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process. (8+ years); • Knowledge of Xray Test Case management tool (8+ years); • Knowledge of SQL query writing to perform CURD operations (8+ years); • Proficient in using CI/CD pipelines to enhance software development testing processes (8+ years); • Experience in conducting API Testing using Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER or similar (8+ years); • Experience in writing and executing tests automation using UFT (8+ years)

Preferred: • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming; • Experience working with the State of Texas agency and system.

Responsibilities

include but are not limited to the following: • Design, write, and execute both manual and automated test scripts for various types of testing (unit, integration, regression, UAT, performance, etc.) using tools such as UFT, Postman, or SOAPUI. • Develop detailed UAT test plans and cases aligned with business requirements, conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders, and coordinate UAT schedules and readiness reviews. • Log, categorize, and track defects using Jira, ensuring accurate and timely updates, and provide detailed test execution and defect reports to stakeholders and development teams. • Create and maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure all business requirements are covered by test cases, and maintain accurate QA documentation throughout the SDLC. • Work closely with Scrum teams in an Agile environment, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure timely and high-quality software releases. • Assist in troubleshooting and validation within development, test, and UAT environments, supporting developers and business analysts to identify and resolve issues efficiently. • Execute API tests using tools like Postman or JMETER, perform SQL queries for data validation and verification, and create or review performance testing scripts and results to ensure system stability and reliability.
