Navy blue Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification Strong clinical skills in wound care, bariatric patient care, and general Med/Surg nursing Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with diagnoses including TIA, general surgery, sepsis, COPD, and pneumonia Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7 Perform wound vac procedures and care for bariatric patients Float to other medical-surgical units as needed within skillset Document patient care using Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
