Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Transplant ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3rd Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years previous ICU experience required License: Current state Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact Certifications: - American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider or an approved equivalent - AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support for healthcare providers or an approved equivalent
Must-Have: - ACLS required - Must pass Basic Rhythm Interpretation with a score of 85% or higher (2 attempts allowed)
Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a defined group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The role involves clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is essential. An Associate's degree in nursing is required, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. The Registered Nurse delivers care in a 20 bed unit during 12-hour day shifts. Every other weekend work is required, and there are no on-call responsibilities. Floating to other ICUs, step down units, or acute care units may be required as needed. Candidates should be prepared for direct interviews and ensure their voicemail is set up and not full.
