Summary:
The role of the Integrated Clinical Nurse Manager is an integrated role within the Oncology service line/Cancer Service Line (CSL). The Integrated Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting clinical and administrative leadership with the management of practice and operations at the Oncology Evaluation Center (OEC). The scope of this role will provide direct management to all staff, including clinical staff, in the OEC. The Integrated Clinical Nurse Manager will enhance the delivery of complex patient care, collaborating with clinical and administrative teams across departments to ensure processes are standardized and integrated, while recognizing and maintaining disease-specific nuances when clinically appropriate. The Integrated Clinical Nurse Manager will have direct responsibility for staffing, regulatory compliance, employee performance management, clinical education and competency, capacity utilization, and patient throughput at the OEC. The Integrated Clinical Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour accountability for the operation of the designated patient care unit (s). This includes the provision of leadership to improve patient care, enhance professional development, and achieve nursing goals. Responsibilities:
Establishing/updating policies, procedures, and work practices for designated patient care units direct supervision of all staff, including Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Unit Secretaries. Supports the provision of safe, high-quality patient care and leadership to improve patient care, enhance professional development, and achieve unit, department, entity, and system goals performs service recovery when indicated and appropriate follow-up. Shares responsibility for time and attendance management, payroll processing, scheduling, staff appraisals, and competency validation, compliance in accordance with regulatory standards and HUP/CPUP policies. Supports employee performance management, provides clinical education and skills training, and coordinates orientation/onboarding of new/transferred employees encourages continuous growth by fostering teamwork, guiding initiatives, and steering employees toward achievement of goals. Participates in quality and safety oversight in support of quality initiatives and regulatory requirements. The Integrated Clinical Nurse Manager shall be responsible for conducting team meetings, daily huddles, and assisting staff with day-to-day operations regarding patient care. Credentials: Registered Nurse - PA (Required) Education or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required) Education Specialization: Nursing Equivalent Experience: •And 5+ years Progressive nursing experience with demonstrated leadership and management skills Master of Arts or Science (Required) Education Specialization: Or currently enrolled in a Master's level program preferably Nursing (MSN) Equivalent Experience: We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
