TAP (Trustless Agent Payments) - designing trust-minimized payment channels for AI agents. Zero-Knowledge Systems - advancing zkML (zero-knowledge machine learning) and cryptographic proofs for decentralized environments. Protocol Collaborations - working with leading projects in the Ethereum ecosystem (The Graph, MakerDAO/Sky, etc.) to deliver production-grade cryptographic tooling and infrastructure.
The Role
We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our team and help bring Semiotic's suite of cryptographic and AI-driven tools to life. You will translate complex backend systems into intuitive, performant, and accessible user experiences. With a strong design sense, you'll be responsible for shaping the way developers and users interact with Semiotic's products.
This is an opportunity to work on frontier technology at the intersection of **AI, cryptography, and blockchain**, and to design interfaces that will be used by developers and protocol stakeholders across the ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain frontend applications for Semiotic's products (e.g., GraphTally dashboards, TAP interfaces, cryptographic tooling UIs). * Translate research prototypes and backend systems into usable developer tools and interfaces. * Work closely with product, research, and engineering teams to align design with complex technical requirements. * Implement responsive, performant, and accessible UI components with a focus on clean and scalable code. * Contribute to design systems, ensuring consistent visual language across Semiotic's suite of tools. * Bridge the gap between design and engineering, creating interfaces that are both visually appealing and functionally powerful.
Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar). * Proven ability to take ownership of UI/UX design and translate wireframes or Figma designs into production-ready components. * Comfort working in close collaboration with backend engineers and researchers on complex data flows. * Experience with state management, GraphQL, and integrating with APIs. * An eye for design - you care deeply about creating elegant, intuitive, and consistent user experiences. * Familiarity with Web3, cryptography, or AI-driven tools is a plus (but not required).
Nice to Have
Experience contributing to open-source projects. * Familiarity with decentralized systems, Ethereum, or other blockchain ecosystems. * Knowledge of data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Recharts, etc.). * Understanding of accessibility standards and internationalization.
