About Us: The pediatric inpatient post-surgical unit, also known as Explorer, is a dynamic and fast-paced, 35-bed unit, specializing in post-surgical care for patients across various specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, cardiac, and neurology. With centralized monitoring, our dedicated staff ensures high-quality care for every patient, offering an excellent opportunity for nurses to acquire diverse skills due to the rapid turnover and patient variety. The unit also plays a crucial role in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), with 12 beds - 6 for seizure monitoring and 6 for surgical overflow cases. Our EMU rooms are equipped with specialty equipment to monitor and visualize seizure activity, leading to improved treatment and better patient outcomes. Thirty percent of our nurses are nationally certified displaying our commitment to professional development and maintaining a high standard of care. EXPERIENCE:

Minimum two (2) years clerical and/or customer service and/or healthcare experience Bilingual skills preferred EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required CHUC - Cert Health Unit Coordinator certification preferred
