Supervision Exercised:

Patient Reception and Registration personnel.

General Summary:

Monitors the information desk, ensuring a helpful, friendly, and welcome environment to patients when they enter the clinic.

Works under the supervision of the Director of Revenue Cycle Management

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Example of Essential Duties: Selects, trains, reprimand, and supervise departmental personnel. Responsible for scheduling work assignments and maintaining them on a daily basis. Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases. Participates actively in Clinic patient complaints regarding department. Assist with training satellite and/or main campus office staff in the Registration process, and to keep them informed of any and all insurance changes. Collects data for daily, monthly and annual reporting. Order, stock and inventory all forms that are used by the department, and approve all supply requisitions for all other office supplies. Develops programs to decrease employee turnover and improve employee morale. Work with staff and physician offices to improve processes for gathering patient demographic information. Preside over departmental meetings. Keep staff informed by the use of memos, mailboxes and voice mail of all insurance and policy changes. Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):

Enter all new insurance in the computer system to enable the proper and efficient filing of our patient's insurance claims, and to properly maintain those files. To fill in as needed at either the Information or Registration desks. Other duties as assigned.

Required:

- Excellent interpersonal skills required.

- Adheres to, and ensures department's compliance with, the clinic's policies and procedures.

- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.

- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.

- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

- Demonstrates ability to lead and motivate staff.

Preferred:

- Associates Degree in Medical/Business related field

- Previous supervisory experience preferred.

- Medical insurance and computer knowledge preferred.

Education:

- HS diploma or GED.
