$2200 - $2360 Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Graduate of an accredited nursing program BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) ACLS Certification ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Experience administering chemotherapy required Minimum 1 year of RN experience (6 months - 3 years accepted) Epic EMR experience preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Strong collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills Acute Care Oncology Nurse Responsibilities
Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for oncology and acute care patients Serve as primary or accountable nurse as assigned Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease management, and oncology care Safely administer medications, including chemotherapy, in accordance with hospital policy Ensure compliance with all nursing standards, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements Participate in shared governance, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review processes Engage in ongoing professional development and mandatory nursing education Integrate evidence-based practice and nursing research into patient care Support onboarding of new employees and nursing students Uphold organizational values and perform additional duties as assigned
