About the Family A kind and welcoming family in Dobbs Ferry, NY is seeking a reliable, warm, and energetic Nanny/Housekeeper to care for their two young daughters and provide support around the home. Their older daughter, June (5), is on the autism spectrum and thrives with patience, attentiveness, and emotional support, while their younger daughter, Mason (3), is an active and curious preschooler. The family values someone who can create a safe, engaging, and structured environment for the girls while also lending a hand with household upkeep and meal prep.
Responsibilities Meet June at the bus stop and pick up Mason from preschool (family car provided for use with children) Plan and supervise fun, engaging afternoon activities such as going to the park, library, or other outings Prepare simple children's dinners and pack lunches for the following day Light housekeeping: tidying up after the children, kitchen cleanup, and general household organization Family laundry as needed Assist with household routines to keep things running smoothly Ideal Candidate & Personality The ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, and patient, ideally with experience working with children on the autism spectrum. They should be playful and engaging with the girls, yet able to provide structure and support. Someone who is proactive, flexible, and comfortable balancing childcare with light housekeeping will be the best fit. The family is looking for a long-term teammate who will feel like an extension of their household.
Requirements Prior experience as a nanny/housekeeper in a private home Strong references from past employers Valid driver's license and clean driving record (family car provided for childcare duties) Experience with special needs/ASD children is a strong plus Benefits Guaranteed 25-30 hours/week Use of family car for work-related driving
