to lead people strategy across our two unique properties. Reporting directly to the Resort's Managing Director, the Area Director of Human Resources oversees the HR function for approximately 1,200 associates and serves as a key member of the Executive Committee. You will shape strategies that attract, engage, and develop top talent while ensuring compliance with policies, practices, and brand standards. Your leadership and insights will play a pivotal role in guiding our culture and driving the long-term vision of both properties.

What you will be doing:

Oversee all areas of Human Resources, including associate relations, recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits, leave management, workers' compensation, policy compliance, culture building, and community involvement. Provide guidance on associate relations, including investigations, coaching, counseling, and policy enforcement. Lead annual goal setting, performance reviews, compensation adjustments, and bonus programs. Develop and manage annual budgets for salaried labor and HR operations, ensuring accurate monthly forecasts. Serve as a key member of the Executive Committee, partnering with operational leaders to support departmental success. Act as a strategic partner to identify and develop high-potential leaders while advocating for career progression. Champion associate engagement and recognition initiatives, including service excellence programs and cross-departmental appreciation. Ensure compliance with policies, brand standards, and all federal, state, and local employment regulations. Supervise and support the HR team across all functional areas: talent acquisition, benefits and compensation, leave administration, workers' compensation, diversity and inclusion, and community engagement. Oversee training and development programs, ensuring effective resources, tools, and learning opportunities for both in-house and branded programs. What we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a preference for candidates with at least 5 years in a leadership role within hotels, resorts, or hospitality. Ability to serve as a trusted advisor and proven expertise in talent acquisition, associate relations, employment laws and compliance requirements, training and development, benefits, and overall HR operations. Skilled communicator with excellent verbal, written, consulting, and coaching abilities; able to influence at all organizational levels. High degree of organization, accuracy with numbers, and experience creating and managing budgets. Demonstrated ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. Proficiency with HR systems and technology; experience with PeopleSoft and/or Taleo is a plus; willingness to learn and embrace new technologies. What's in it for you?
